Who we are
PK Construction Inc. is a construction company based at 37-A Tillson Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario N4G 0B7. This policy explains what personal information we collect through pkconstruction.ca, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What the website itself collects
Browsing the site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. We do not build profiles of visitors. The only cookie this site sets is a session cookie for staff signing into the private administration area — it is never set for ordinary visitors.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
Information you give us
Bid list registration
If you register as a trade partner we collect your company name and address, the email address you want tender invitations sent to, company phone and website, and your representative's full name, title, work phone, mobile number and email. We also record the cost codes you select so we know which tenders are relevant to you.
Tender submissions
If you submit an estimate we collect your company and contact details, the cost code and trade, your base bid, any exclusions and notes, and any files you attach.
General enquiries
Messages sent through our contact form open in your own email application — nothing is transmitted to this website. We receive whatever you choose to send.
How we use it
- To invite you to tenders that match the cost codes you selected
- To evaluate and compare estimates, and to award work
- To contact you about a project, bid or enquiry
- To meet record-keeping obligations for construction contracts
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to tendering.
Where it goes
Registration and submission details are stored on our own server. Files attached to an estimate are filed into the relevant project's document folder in our Microsoft 365 environment, by way of our project management system. They are visible to the PK Construction staff working on that project.
Notification emails are delivered through a third-party email service. We share personal information with third parties only where it is needed to deliver a service you have engaged us for, or where the law requires it.
Third-party content on this site
- Google Fonts — typefaces are served by Google, so your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which receives your IP address.
- OpenStreetMap — the project map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap's servers, which likewise receive your IP address. Tiles are only requested if you scroll the map into view.
Each is governed by that organisation's own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Bid list registrations are kept until you ask to be removed or we can no longer reach you. Tender submissions and related correspondence are kept for the life of the project and for as long afterwards as contract and warranty record-keeping requires.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including removing your company from the bid list. Write to [email protected] or call (519) 842-8001 and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Security
Access to the administration area requires authentication and every change is logged. Uploaded files are restricted by type and size. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
